I left corporate America after 12 years as a highly paid engineer to become a massage therapist and a yoga teacher and I guess to find enlightenment. So when USANA was introduced to me, I was already DOING what I loved to do. But I quickly had realized that I was still trading hours for dollars. In fact I went from salary pay to hourly pay and kept the lifestyle and just gave up the money. Well I tell you what, it's hard to seek enlightenment when you're stressing over money.

Since we began our business with USANA, we have experienced personal, social and emotional growth we wouldn't have found any other way. My wife Kahnoush was able to quit her job and gets to spend more time with our three children.

Once I understood the mechanics of wealth creation, what residual income means, the idea that your success is created through leverage and you create leverage through duplication and get this, the fact that you are rewarded exponentially for your willingness to train others effectively. That is incredible. Once I understood that, my business took off.

I really got to appreciate the power of residual income when I had to go overseas on an emergency. The 3 weeks that I was gone, my massage income stopped immediately and my teaching income stopped immediately. The only other source of income I had was USANA and every Friday, my USANA check was automatically deposited. I was so grateful for that.

The difference now is that I still do what I love to do, but now I do it on my terms and without stressing for money. And I do this business thinking of myself as a soldier for the economy.

Our business, International Marketing Alliance (IMA) powered by USANA has been a dream come true. It has given us time freedom, financial freedom and has improved our overall health. And through team effort, our Gold Rush Alliance (GRA) has given us the opportunity to help create that success for others as well. All we look for are people who are willing to step up.

I have worked in the field of Training and Development since 1974 with several companies and free-lance assignments. I grew up in Los Angeles and moved to San Diego in 1971. I left San Diego in 1982 to travel. I lived in Tokyo for a year and Hawaii for 5 years before returning to San Diego. A major part of my life has been studying spiritual development techniques and teaching the trainings of the Arica Institute a modern Gnostic school. I also had a massage certification and I taught Thailand massage for 5 years in San Diego and Santiago, Chile. Skip Kanester was even one of my mentors. I began with my USANA career in 1995, while recovering from a debilitating lung condition that I contracted on one of my trips to Chile. I turned USANA into a full-time career while taking care of my dying parents in 1999. In 2000, I was offered a job working at Sanoviv in the Psychology and Spirituality Training department. I worked and lived at Sanoviv for several months, then decided that I would rather do USANA full-time and I moved back to San Diego until 2005. I still work at Sanoviv several weeks a year filling in for vacationing psychologists. I also continue to teach Arica trainings several times a year in San Diego. I am currently living in the Palm Springs area, building a downline, reading, meditating, studying and having fun taking photographs.

For 15 years, Sheryl and Dr. Glenn Barney have run a busy chiropractic business focused on total body wellness. Glenn, a doctor of chiropractic and a believer in functional medicine, has long recommended nutritional supplements to his patients. So, when Sheryl and Glenn began taking USANA Nutritionals in 2004 and were impressed by their high quality, the couple decided to recommend them to the clinic’s patients.

The Barneys returned to their Auburn, California home ready to focus on building a USANA business. The couple could dedicate only a few hours to USANA most weeks, but they still advanced to Gold within four short months. They say much of their success was due to a fantastic team as well as USANA’s easy business system. “We spent so many years writing systems, procedures, and manuals for our practice, so we really recognized the value of stepping into a business where all of that was already set up.” Sheryl says.

Glenn and Sheryl are eager to share USANA products with their patients, but they emphasize that they spend the majority of their time prospecting outside their practice. I was born in Juneau, Alaska and still reside here. We love this place!! Growing up in Alaska was great. Commercial Fishing with my grandfather from the age of 10 till I was 16 was a great experience. He was a true Pioneer Alaskan.

Next, I went to work with my Father, in his Construction Company called - Superior Builders and began to run this business with him for the next 15 years. I married my high school sweetheart - Debbie in 1975 and started my own Boat Charter Service - "SNOOPY'S ADVENTURES" in 1985. The business was named after the 38' boat that I had acquired - the "SNOOPY".

The next 15 years were a riot as People came from all over the world for fishing, sightseeing and whale watching aboard "SNOOPY". Debbie and I have two boys, Jeremy and Torry, who grew up in our family charter boat business. It was fun watching them grow up running the boats and meeting the people.

As time passed the boys grew up and soon went out into the world on their own, leaving me holding the bag with the charter boat business. This business had gotten fairly large and I was working from dawn to dusk (about 4am to 10pm during the summer in Alaska) It was a very fun business, however, it just didn't seem the same without the boys and I seemed to be working my tail off.

Okay!! I needed to start something NEW, but what?? Over the next couple of years I began to do research on different businesses. I was pretty fussy. My new business had to have certain aspects to it that were hard to find in your typical business. I wanted to work smarter not harder so that I would have the time to do the other things I wanted to do. So I went on a quest to find a business that could not only create a great income but would create wealth for me and my family in the future.

Research! Research! Research! About 150 companies and business models and compensation plans. I realized that I wanted to work from the privacy of my home. FINALLY!! I found what I was looking for! USANA!!!

With USANA, we now market scientifically advanced health and wellness products that improve people's energy, health and well being and help them to feel and look younger. We do this directly with consumers around the globe. Debbie and I have used these products for just over 4 years now and we look and feel GREAT!! Plus, the business model has allowed us to retire early. It's leveraged Income. That just means you make money 24/7 even while you sleep. Pretty Neat, huh?

Anyway, that's where we are today and we love it.

When I was introduced to USANA, I was very intrigued. I was excited, and I honestly didn't know why. We were comfortable financially, and with three very busy children and several small side-businesses, I certainly didn't need something else to take up my time! In fact, I had quit my job as an accountant because our family time had become so limited and stressed. I realize now that I had done what many people do. I had quit dreaming, settled for what I had, and convinced myself I was happy and content with my life.

As a Certified Public Accountant, I was familiar with the concept of leveraged income, but had never seen the wealth-creating mechanism that comes from leveraging time. Creating leveraged income, or getting paid tomorrow for the work I do today, is key to my family's financial future. Many people have plenty of money and no time. Others have plenty of time but no money. With USANA's residual income, we have both. And the tax advantages of a home-based business are the icing on the cake! My husband and I believe in creating multiple streams of income, and USANA is definitely a cornerstone of our financial plan.

Too many of us take our health for granted until it's too late. I believe we need to be pro-active with our health, and using USANA products on a daily basis is an excellent preventative measure. My family's overall health has definitely improved with USANA. To be honest, my husband complained about taking his nutritional products for about the first 90 days - now he refuses to go a single day without them!

I'm so glad I chose to become involved with USANA. It's been one of the best decisions of my life. Now I'm able to spend time with my family and friends, to work out at the gym, to travel, to enjoy life. I don't have a boss, I don't have employees, and I only work with people I want to work with. Since my business is totally flexible, I schedule my work time around my family and other activities. In fact, my work doesn't seem like "work"! After spending 25 years studying the healing arts and 11 years teaching Chinese Medical techniques in classrooms and workshops across the country, I had come to a crossroads. I loved what I was doing but the travel was keeping me away from my family more and more. We also needed more income, but that would mean more travel and that wasn't an option I was willing to explore.

It was about that time that a very close friend introduced me to USANA. Here was the answer I had been looking for and yet, I turned it down. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't even look at it! And I continued to not look for two full years. You see, I had been involved with another network marketing company in the early 70's and it had not been a good experience. So for the next 25 years, I wouldn't have anything to do with this industry. Now, can you imagine having a bad experience at a restaurant one evening and because of that, you never ate at any restaurant for the next 25 years? I know, it's ridiculous but that was my mindset.

Finally my friend got me to look and I was amazed. This was nothing like my previous experience. This company looked fair, solid, an exceptional product line (the best I had ever seen in my healing arts experience) and the compensation plan was easy to understand. I decided to give it my all for one year, just to see.....

That was 4 years ago and USANA has become the vehicle that is taking us to our dreams. Not only is it our primary source of income, it is the financial security that we were looking for. And because it's residual income, that means the ongoing income is there and I no longer need to travel to chase it.

I was working at Von's in Mira Mesa in the floral dept. and I had asked myself "What am I doing here wearing this uniform making only $10.40 and hour?" This is not how it was supposed to be. I had just lost my coffeehouse due to the rent doubling to almost $4k a month. I had reached success in my hometown of San Diego. I was a singer in several bands. Every weekend my cafe was packed. Jewel, Blink 182 and Everclear had played there. Details Magazine, LA Times Magazine, even Sunset Magazine wrote articles about my cafe. What happened? Everything was gone. My heart, my soul, my reason for singing.

In walks Majid Mokhbery with his son buying a plant for a relative. Some customers make you forget about everything for a moment. I loved how they were happy and how much they looked alike with their long curly black hair! Majid mentioned that I had a great personality and asked me to watch a video. "The Wall" came up. I told him "If I had time I would." I popped it in the VCR a week later and popped it right out after seeing Robert Allen in leisurewear by a waterfall talking about residual income. EWW YUCK! W-H-A-T-E-V-E-R!! I thought. I told Majid I was NOT interested. The old punkrocker in me didn't like what she saw.

Fast Forward about a year later. I am a checker now making $19.00 an hour. Still not happy but making decent money. Deep in my heart I knew I was wasting my talents but never admitted it. A monkey could scan groceries. Majid phones me and says, "I really understand how this business works and it has been working for me. Can I show it to you over coffee?" DARN! I should have let the answering machine pick it up! It's THAT GUY!! But hey, free dessert? I will listen. I am embarrassed to say I still told him "NO" but bought the Essentials and Proflavanol. A week later I called Majid and screamed, "What in the world did you give me??!! I feel so good!!! I want everybody to know about this!!!" I signed up.

Now fast forward 4 years. Now I work for the Union Local 135 for the Grocery workers. Great Job huh? Got comfortable. Great hours. Great benefits. Excellent pay. Forgot about Usana and just became a consumer of the products. Two people tell me out of the blue, "You are wasting your talent here." All this time, Majid was telling me my right leg had gone to China. I still didn't grasp all that I was losing. A thousand bucks a week. Until that fateful day. The grocery strike of 2003 and 2004. My job and security was gone. My position at the Union was no longer gauranteed. What was I going to do? People were out on the picket lines making $100 a week. Sometimes husband, wife and kids together. I did not want to be around for the next contract.

WAKE UP CALL! I studied those "circles" in the compensation plan over and over until I got it. I attended the presentations and got more involved with the business. I had to make the effort because Majid had been so patient with me. I had to not only show him but me, that I was going to make a difference. My husband told me that if I was going to walk the walk, I had to talk the talk. He joined me as a partner but had to leave for 6 months deployment. I was alone while he was out fighting for our freedom. My "WHY" had changed. I wanted him back home safe FOREVER. This past summer I went up two levels and now recieve larger weekly checks. My goal is for us to stay at home together and plan our future. If it wasn't for Majid's persistence and patience, I would hate to think where I would be now. How easily he could have given up on me. My life was spared. That was a great learning experience. Never give up on people and be patient! And don't wait for something bad to happen at your job before you do something with Usana. It could very easily happen to you.

My name is Laura Linsteadt and my story begins with a most touching and heart-rendering event, when my Mother died of ovarian cancer at age 49. My two children were very small and I didn't know how I was going to do this motherhood thing without my Mother there to help me and coo over my children. I made a promise to myself that day that I would find out everything I could about health and how to stay healthy as well as therapies that would support the body. I wanted to make sure that I, my family, friends, and people that I loved did not have to die so young or go through what my mother went through. So I studied everything from homeopathy to herbal remedies; and whole, living and raw foods to massage therapy.

And yet with all this, Dan was experiencing health challenges that I did not know how to address. I had never considered the importance and vital connection between Financial Health and Physical Health. He had been working at a job for over 20 years in the corporate world and went through several layoffs. Dan was lucky enough to keep his job, but he also kept absorbing other people's jobs and responsibilities. As a Computer System Administrator he was on call day and night. If there were any problems he needed to fix them immediately. Some days he would go without sleep and he was always grabbing fast food from the cafeteria. His health began to suffer and we both knew he needed a change. We looked at other jobs with a similar income, but they all seemed equally as stressful. The most stressful of all was the realization that if he quit working the income stopped.

Finally, Dan did quit his job and went into the family health business. We thought that would be less stressful and allow us more time for creating a peaceful and spiritual life. Wow!!! It was so much work! Dan and I were both now working and getting home late, rarely sitting down to a family meal or spending time with our then two teenage children. Dan's health was gradually getting worse.

It was at this time we were introduced to USANA. Even though we were a little hesitant to do network marketing, it seemed like the most sensible business model to create financial health and stability. With Dan’s health condition he needed something he could do from home. The USANA business model is powerful because it allows us to work as a team while supporting our health at the same time. In fact the business encourages cooperation and teamwork, because if we help those on our team to become successful, we also become successful. We also can create residual income to support us with the time freedom to pursue our passions and dreams. And it is a home-based business that allows Dan and me to set the hours we want to work and to be at home where we can take the best care of our health.

Dan & Debbie Lovas own and operate a martial arts school in Auburn California for over 16 years. Dan has been involved with the martial arts for 34 years. He is a sixth degree black belt. Debbie teaches cardio kickboxing and has a third degree black belt in Taekwondo.

Their Usana journey started in October 2006. It was soon after their good friends Dr. Glen and Sheryl Barney came back from the 2006 Usana International Convention. They first gave us a Success From Home magazine. We then met Stephen and Maria Elena Linsteadt for lunch one day to talk about the company and its products.
